Hefeweizen Grilled Kielbasa with Thunderhead German Potato Salad

Serves 4
Pyramid Hefeweizen Kielbasa:
- 4 Kielbasa Sausages
- 1/2 cup Pyramid Hefeweizen
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp. salt
- Mustard
Thunderhead IPA German Potato Salad:
Dressing:
- ½ cup White Wine Vinegar
- ¼ cup Pyramid Thunderhead IPA
- 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp. black pepper
- ½ cup olive oil
Potato mixture:
- 1 lb. red potato, medium size with skin
- ¼ lb. bacon, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- ¼ bunch parsley, chopped
Pyramid Hefeweizen Kielbasa:
Simmer kielbasas in the beer and salt water mixture for 10 minutes to incorporate the beer flavor. Sausages can be held in the liquid until ready to grill. Over high heat, grill the sausages until hot all the way through for about 5 minutes.
Serve with your favorite mustard and Thunderhead IPA German Potato Salad.
Thunderhead IPA German Potato Salad:
Quarter the potatoes into bit size pieces and place in a pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Turn the heat down and let simmer for 20 minutes or until fork tender and reserve. In a sauté pan, brown the diced bacon until done. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent. In a large bowl, mix potatoes, dressing, and bacon/onion mixture together using a spatula. Finish with the chopped parsley. Served cold or warm with Pyramid Hefeweizen Grilled Kielbasa.
