Thanksgiving dinner is one of the best meals of the year. We often work hard to try new recipes, or perfect our old recipes, so that others can experience our warmth, friendship, and love through our cooking. We’re planning our big meal a little differently this year, because… well, we’re brewers! We’ve found that beer complements our favorite Thanksgiving dishes just as well, if not better than wine! So, not only are we saying to pair your Thanksgiving dinner course with beer, we also have a couple recipes that use beer as an essential ingredient!
Check out our Apricot Ale Brined Turkey if you’d like a recommendation for your main course, and keep reading below to see our Sausage, Kale, and Beer Stuffed Acorn Squash—a stunning dish that takes a traditional recipe and gives it a fun, and delicious update!
Acorn Squash is a great squash for a couple reasons: It automatically looks elegant on your plate, and it has a mild sweetness and nutty flavor that pairs really nicely with a big, resinous ale like our Pyramid Outburst Imperial IPA. Let’s drink a little Outburst while we cook, and let’s add some beer to the cooking process!
